TC Schools to Celebrate Fifty Years
Temple City Unified School District was created from portions of the old South Santa Anita School District plus peripheral areas that were formerly parts of Pasadena, San Gabriel, Rosemead and Arcadia school districts. The new larger district absorbed a junior high from Pasadena and created a high school.
Tens of thousands of students have attended TC schools and an estimated 15,000 TCHS alumni are scattered around the world today.
A grass roots citizens' group headed by Linda Payne and Kathy Keithley is organizing a Golden Jubilee gala for TCUSD.
October 15-17 may be a hard weekend to park in Temple City. There will be activities on each day, starting with the TCHS homecoming celebration Friday night.
More details are available on the Jubilee site.
